This hotel is located in the northern part of Bangkok, away from all the touristy sides of Bangkok. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Thanks to Po the little golf cart driver that takes people to the main road or around the complex. The front end staff (Film, Fang and 2 other ladies whose names I have forgotten). The breakfast is mostly Thai style with some sections that are Western (breads and cereals). The have an egg station that can make you a variety of styles of eggs. The have 2 pools and both are well maintained and clean. The rooms are clean and spacious. What makes this place special is the colonial fortress style and it looks like a nice place to have a conference, wedding or special occasion event.

I actually wasn't happy with the breakfast but I understand it was low season and so no buffet which I prefer. However the pool villa was amazing and I highly recommend it . Room service was excellent . We ordered a couple of Gin tonics and tequila shots and it was no problem . I will definitely stay here next time . It was an ideal location for us as I was getting a bamboo tattoo not far away. I only have this to say they have many rooms and a massive swimming pool but if you want a romantic time with your partner get the pool Villa . Staff were excellent and English was was good . I do speak a little Thai but not as good as I would like .This hotel Is an oasis in the middle of a local town . Book it .

The restaurant is superb.The pool has an amazing view over the river. The rooms are in a beautiful colonial style with great facilities. It was a real find! What many might see as a disadvantage is that it is far from the centre but for me, this was an advantage. I used to take a cab to the nearby passenger ferry stop and take a fascinating ride up the river into the centre of town. If you want to see real bangkok, as opposed to the city centre, this is a great place to stay.
